Fixed all script problems reported thus far
All script errors which have been submitted to us have been fixed — generally by going back to the Japanese script to check it out. With the context reported, fixes were generally very simple.
We are still waiting for MK to play the Independent scenarios. Been waiting for that for … a while now. His catches throughout Light, Imperial and Chaos have been committed to the script.
As things stand, with the class change corrections and corrections to unit affinity, all known bugs are done except for Lana’s portrait in Scenario 35, which displays her as injured unlike in Scenario 23. I have sent a SaveRAM to byuu for him to work on this problem. As soon as the matching script block is decompressed, it should be as simple as locating the event line and subtracting 1 to 3 from the portrait value.
After that, all known issues in Der Langrisser will be fixed. We will make a 1.02 release with debug codes for most major emulators included. Bug reports will be accepted, and a 1.03 final release will be made at the end of the year.

How in the hell do you end up with a “Chinese” version? There isn’t one except for a PC released translated from the Korean PC one.

Hi Admin,i am not sure this mistake is spotted but i will say it. At scenario 6 at the {x Victory Conditions}
it says
-Best all enemies
-Reach the dark Rod’s altar
Obviously Best all enemies are wrong .
Drop me an email if you had saw my comment
Thanks

Wow, thank you guys for working so much on this. Maybe with the new patch I’ll be able to get it to work(for some reason I can’t get the patch to work). Good luck and keep at it! You’re a hero to every snes player there ever was.

Any idea when v1.02 is going to be released? While bsnes is awesome, Der Langrisser is one of those games that gets really tedious without a function that increases the game speed, and I’d really like to be able to play it on a different emulator without all the bugs. :3

Win32 and Dos patches do not seem to be downloading correctly. They cut off at 642 bytes. Mac and Linux patches DL the full 1.7…

Great job guys. As a gamer and programmer, I really appreciate it when someone puts this much effort into fixing up a game. The translation is good, the text is easy to read, and the game runs smoothly. I look forward to seeing the new patch.

Great job on the translation guys. I have a request for you. In my spare time I created a tool that will allow you to emulate the characters generation process (the quiz) and then output what Erwin’s statistics will be. This will help people know what to pick in order to get the Erwin they want in the beginning. However, to my dismay I discovered that the effects for the answers listed here: http://tartarus.rpgclassics.com/langrisser/startquestions.shtml are wildly inaccurate for this version of the game. Can you please send me the results for each question choice so I can properly configure the tool? Please ask if you need more information. Thanks.

Wildly inaccurate? Then that means his chart is wildly inaccurate. We never changed anything.

I’ve fixed the last portrait, and added the elemental fixes. Now all we need is a better patching system.
“I’d really like to be able to play it on a different emulator without all the bugs.”
Aoi, there are no bugs caused by our patch. It doesn’t work in most emulators because they aren’t very good at emulating the SNES. The new patch will not change that.
That said, you can run the game in SNESGT now (http://gigo.retrogames.com), and it should be fine. It even has a fast-forward option and savestates. You have to set the language to English in the GUI first, by the way.
